Coccidiosis is a major cause of diarrhoea in the first few weeks of a ruminant’s life. Until about six weeks of age, the young animal is unable to eat sufficient dry medicated food to prevent coccidiosis. In the mean time, coccidiosis has established itself in the gut and is causing radical damage, evidenced in severe cases by bloody diarrhoea at about 3 weeks of age. Coccidial diarrhoea is responsible for loss of essential electrolytes, dehydration, a significant reduction in growth and performance and even death. Clostridium spp are also a significant cause of neo-natal diarrhoea in young ruminants.

SupaCalf™ is an internationally recognized product which has been specially formulated to help prevent coccidial and clostridial diarrhoea, improve growth rate and feed conversion, and improve immunity and survivability in milk fed ruminants (calves, lambs and kids). In dairy systems, improved growth rates and general health facilitate higher intake of calf meals at an earlier age, and so can help with early weaning of calves (essential in the current environment of spiralling costs)

SupaCalf™ is in liquid form which mixes readily with milk and milk replacer, and is easy to use.
